The 2021 Petersburg Community Foundation grant cycle is closed, and we have awarded $24,175.00 to our local nonprofits. Awarding grants always feels good, and PCF wants to share this success.
Grantee project highlight: Petersburg Rainforest Festival receives $1,019.00.
The Rainforest Festival adapted to Covid by conducting an entirely socially-distant festival in 2020. Doing so led to the awareness that the festival could be offered to the Long-term Care residents, to those at home, and to those not in Petersburg in 2021. The granted funds will allow the Rainforest Festival make the events accessible to more people. The project will improve the quality of the digital media and develop a program adapted to both in-person and virtual.
