The Petersburg Community Foundation awards micro-grants to Petersburg City Schools Native Youth Olympics program and Petersburg Arts Council Séet Ká festival receive PCF micro-grants.
The Native Youth Olympics program at Mitkof Middle School and Petersburg High School is growing. Students learn and celebrate traditions, grow personally, and compete with their peer and friends. The PCF micro-grant will provide funds for purchasing needed equipment as well as supporting student travel.
The Séet Ká Festival will be a first in Petersburg. Held in conjunction with Elizabeth Peratrovich Day, the festival will bring Tlingit linguists, artists and dancers to Petersburg.
